Preview: Richford Falcons vs. Winooski Spartans
Richford is 1-9 against Winooski since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Richford Falcons will be playing at home against the Winooski Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Richford has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 559 points over their last eight games.
Richford pushed their score all the way to 56 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to Williamstown.
Meanwhile, Winooski waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They breezed by Stowe at home to the tune of 73-39. Winooski has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.
Richford's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-3. As for Winooski, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3.
Richford was able to grind out a solid victory over Winooski when the teams last played back in January, winning 58-50. Will Richford repeat their success, or does Winooski have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
