Baseball Game Preview: Marion Giants vs. Elwood Panthers

The Marion Giants will take on the Elwood Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 16 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Marion and ten for Elwood.

On Friday, Marion came up short against Maconaquah and fell 8-3.

Marion saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taeshawn Inman, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those doubles were Inman's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Elwood's offense. They lost 10-0 to Oak Hill on Tuesday.

Marion's record is now 0-14. As for Elwood, their record now sits at 2-15.

Marion was able to grind out a solid win over Elwood in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, winning 11-8. Do the Giants have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
