Basketball Recap: East Stroudsburg North Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Piotr Drozd and Wayne King

East Stroudsburg North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 78-64 to the Pocono Mountain East Cardinals. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (56), the Timberwolves still had to take the loss.

Wayne King and Piotr Drozd certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. King went 7 of 15 on his way to 19 points, while Drozd went 7 for 14 en route to 17 points and seven boards. That's the most points Drozd has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bernard Bowen, who posted 12 points.

East Stroudsburg North's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Pocono Mountain East, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

East Stroudsburg North has already played their next match, a 60-40 defeat against Bangor on the 15th. As for Pocono Mountain East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 53-51 loss against Northampton on the 16th.
