Basketball Game Preview: North Tampa Christian Academy Titans vs. Morningside Academy Eagles

The North Tampa Christian Academy Titans will challenge the Morningside Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

North Tampa Christian Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Classical Prep as North Tampa Christian Academy made off with a 54-30 victory. The win was nothing new for the Titans as they're now sitting on seven straight.

North Tampa Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cali Midyett out in front who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mila Miller, who posted 12 points.

North Tampa Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Classical Prep only racked up seven assists.

Meanwhile, Morningside Academy was fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past Merritt Island Christian 62-34. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Morningside Academy found their leader in sophomore Arianah Wallace, who earned 19 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Wallace is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season. Emmilina Miller was another key player, putting up 11 points and six assists.

North Tampa Christian Academy pushed their record up to 16-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points over those games. As for Morningside Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 19-6.
