Notre Dame Academy barely beat Malden Catholic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars put the hurt on the Lancers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Notre Dame Academy took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-14.

Amelia Burgoyne paced Notre Dame Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Burgoyne really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. Sydney Jackson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Notre Dame Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Malden Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
