Football Recap: Brackenridge Comes Up Short

Brackenridge lost against Burbank back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles lost to the Bulldogs on the road by a 30-13 margin. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Edward Rodriguez had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 164 yards and three TDs for Burbank. Rodriguez is becoming a predictor of the Bulldogs' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't). Jacob Torres was another key player, throwing for 106 yards and one touchdown while completing 80% of his passes.

Brackenridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Burbank, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

Coming up, Brackenridge will take on Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Burbank, they will challenge Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Golden Bears' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
