McCook has gone 9-1 against Holdrege recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 3:45 p.m. without much rest having both just played. McCook knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Holdrege likes a good challenge.

On Friday, McCook was able to grind out a solid win over Kearney Catholic, taking the game 55-45. The 55-point effort marked the Bison's lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holdrege). The stars were shining brightly for them in a 92-77 victory over Gothenburg on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dusters.

Holdrege's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for McCook, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

McCook was able to grind out a solid win over Holdrege in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 53-46. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Holdrege's Garret Johnson, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and three blocks. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will McCook still be able to contain Johnson? There's only one way to find out.
