Baseball Recap: New Rochelle Comes Up Short

New Rochelle lost against John Jay back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Huguenots took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots.

New Rochelle saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Cave, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

New Rochelle's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for John Jay, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 10-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Rochelle will take on Ketcham at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Storm's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Huguenots' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for John Jay, they will face off against Arlington at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
