Caney Valley is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They were beaten by Morrison 51-8.

Pawhuska had a senior duo take command as Canyon Hindman threw for 263 yards and four touchdowns and Chase Eaves picked up 201 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Eaves' longest reception was for an incredible 85 yards. Vann Wildcat was another key player, gaining 139 total yards and a touchdown.

Pawhuska didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Eaves picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown.

Caney Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Pawhuska, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Caney Valley took a serious blow against Pawhuska when the teams last played back in August of 2023, falling 82-0. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hindman, who threw for 295 yards and five touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground.
