Basketball Recap: Beulah Comes Up Short

After soaring to 58 points the game before, Beulah was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They were dealt a 55-20 defeat at the hands of the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors. The contest marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lee-Scott Academy found their leader in freshman Clarke Ivatt, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. Ivatt has become a key player for Lee-Scott Academy: the team is 4-2 when she posts at least eight rebounds, but 2-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamdin Cleveland, who posted seven points along with nine rebounds and four steals.

Beulah's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lee-Scott Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

Beulah will square off against Notasulga at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they will face off against Lanett at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
