Softball Recap: Newton Gets the Win

The Newton Braves were able to grind out a solid victory over the Boonton Bombers on Friday, taking the game 12-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Braves.

Newton's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Boonton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newton will face off against Mountain Lakes at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Boonton, they will welcome Academy of St. Elizabeth at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
