Basketball Game Preview: Caldwell Redskins vs. Bishop Rosecrans Bishops

The Caldwell Redskins are taking a road trip to square off against the Bishop Rosecrans Bishops at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Caldwell was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-34 to Waterford.

Despite their loss, Caldwell saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Breighlee Moracco, who posted eight points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals, was perhaps the best of all. Moracco is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season. Mea Hendershot was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, Bishop Rosecrans came up short against Wellington School on Tuesday and fell 40-30. The defeat continues a trend for the Bishops in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost five in a row.

Bishop Rosecrans' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Caldwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Caldwell took a serious blow against Bishop Rosecrans in their previous meeting back in January of 2022, falling 49-17. Can the Redskins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
