West Aurora had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the West Chicago Wildcats with a sharp 11-1 victory. This was payback for the Blackhawks, who suffered a 4-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Henry Hinkle was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Oscar Alexander Jr., who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Jake Niedzwiedz was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

West Aurora was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Chicago only posted a batting average of .182.

West Aurora pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for West Chicago, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
