Soccer Recap: Weddington Comes Up Short

If Weddington was feeling good fresh off their 5-2 takedown of Hickory Ridge last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell just short of the Charlotte Catholic Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Monday. While losing is never fun, Weddington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Charlotte Catholic are ranked second).

Weddington's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-3. As for Charlotte Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 15-1-1 record this season.
