Volleyball Game Preview: Immanuel Eagles vs. Washington Union Panthers

The Immanuel Eagles will face off against the Washington Union Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Immanuel will be strutting in after a win while Washington Union will be coming in after a defeat.

Immanuel was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Kingsburg. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Immanuel was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-21, 21-25, 22-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Washington Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Reedley.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-21, 25-18.

Washington Union's loss dropped their record down to 8-18-1. As for Immanuel, their victory bumped their record up to 12-14.

Immanuel beat Washington Union 3-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2023. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
