Basketball Game Preview: Hancock Owls vs. Ashby Arrows

The Hancock Owls will challenge the Ashby Arrows at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, everything went Hancock's way against Rothsay as Hancock made off with a 62-38 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Owls.

Meanwhile, Ashby entered their tilt with Bertha-Hewitt on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-61 win over the Bears. While the Arrows didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Hancock is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.7 points. As for Ashby, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
