Baseball Recap: Amherst Takes a Loss

Amherst was the 5-2 winner over Pacelli when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell 4-1 to the Cardinals on Saturday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sully Perkins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Amherst's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Pacelli, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

While Amherst had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
