Volleyball Recap: Riverdale Ridge Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against The Academy, Riverdale Ridge was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Fort Lupton Bluedevils by a score of 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Ravens in their matchups with the Bluedevils: they've now won four in a row.

Riverdale Ridge can attribute much of their success to Mya Clarvoe, who had ten digs and one assist. That's the most digs Clarvoe has posted over her last seven contests. Hailey Davis also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Riverdale Ridge was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They are 2-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Despite the loss, Fort Lupton still got an impressive performance from Daniela Gutierrez, who had 12 digs and two aces.

Riverdale Ridge's record now sits at 2-10. As for Fort Lupton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Riverdale Ridge will venture away from home to square off against Boulder at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Lupton, they will head out to face off against The Pinnacle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
