Oberlin's win ends 12-game losing streak on the road

The Oberlin The Phoenix had to endure a 13-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Christian Community by a score of 46-36 on Monday. The win was just what Oberlin needed coming off of a 59-14 defeat in their prior game.

Christian Community's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adelynn McKee, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Solak, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds.

Oberlin's victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-14. As for Christian Community, they dropped their record down to 8-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oberlin will take on the Clippers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Christian Community, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Ohio (Open Door Christian is ranked 726th, while the Warriors are ranked 734th).
