Football Recap: Cascade Christian Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win + How To Watch

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Cascade Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Battle Ground Tigers, sneaking past 26-23. The win was just business as usual for the Cougars, who after four games remain undefeated this season.

A big part of Cascade Christian's victory came down to the chemistry between Cordae Norling and his top target Josiah Laurence. Norling threw for 396 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.8% of his passes while Laurence picked up 189 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Those 189 receiving yards gave Laurence a new career-high. A healthy portion of Norling's aerial production (91 yards to be exact) also went to Caleb Donahue.

Cascade Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Laurence and Tayven Collins.

Battle Ground's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavier Ortegon, who rushed for 103 yards and one score.

Cascade Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Battle Ground, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Coming up, Cascade Christian will take on Kingston at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Battle Ground, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 16-8 loss against Post Falls on the 3rd.
