Basketball Recap: Nathan Stahl's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bethel Baptist Academy over Ocean County Christian Academy

Bethel Baptist Academy suffered their closest loss since February 12, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Ocean County Christian Academy by a score of 46-43. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Miners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-28 back in December of 2024.

Several Miners players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nathan Stahl, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 boards. Stahl has been hot, having posted ten or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nick Rizzon, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points and seven boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Bethel Baptist Academy and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Ocean County Christian Academy, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1.

Bethel Baptist Academy will challenge Harbor at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ocean County Christian Academy, they will host Solid Rock Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on February 11th.
