Football Recap: Taft Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Taft, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 victory over the Hebbronville Longhorns on Friday. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Greyhounds were the better team in the second half.

Taft's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for Hebbronville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Taft and Hebbronville will both be playing George West the next time they take the field. The Longhorns will host the Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Greyhounds will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on November 7.
