Recap: Delhi Bears vs. Delta Charter Storm
The Delhi Bears came tearing into Thursday's contest with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 77-54 margin over Delta Charter. Delhi's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Jimmy Spruill was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Edgerin Banks, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Delhi is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Delta Charter, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-18.
Delhi does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Delta Charter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mangham at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Delta Charter is facing Mangham at the right time seeing as Mangham is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
