Basketball Recap: Five Straight Road Wins for Comer

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against ITW David Speer Academy, Comer was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They took down The Noble Academy Griffins 42-27. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-29 back in December of 2024.

Several Griffins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Diana Gidey, who posted 12 points. Ashley Harding was another key player, putting up nine points.

Comer pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.0 points per game. As for The Noble Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Comer will face off against Bulls College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Comer's defense has only allowed 28.7 points per game this season, so Bulls College Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for The Noble Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 46-24 defeat against Pritzker on the 27th.
