Ironton extended their winning streak to nine on Monday, bumping their season record up to 9-0 in the process. They never let the Chesapeake Panthers get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Tigers, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ian Ginger was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Kerns, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

As for Chesapeake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13-1 record this season. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

On Chesapeake's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan White, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that White has hit this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ironton will welcome Gallia Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chesapeake, they will take on St. Joseph Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
