Soccer Recap: Normal Community Sets Scoring Season-High Against Manual

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Normal Community). They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Manual Rams on Thursday. Given Normal Community's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Manual are ranked 327th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Normal Community has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 42 goals over those nine contests. As for Manual, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8-1.

Coming up, Normal Community will face off against Glenwood at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Manual, they will take on Champaign Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
