Football Recap: Penns Manor Comes Up Short

Penns Manor had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-6 to make it seven. They were dealt a 44-14 defeat at the hands of United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United]. The Comets were not able to make up for their loss to United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Penns Manor still got an impressive performance from Brady Lewis, who picked up 111 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 34 yards. Lewis was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 63 yards. Justin Vojtek helped out on the ground, rushing for 116 yards.

Penns Manor didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Issac Illig and Nick Frampton.

As for United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United], the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3. Considering they have won four games by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

United Valley co-op [Blacklick Valley/United] got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shaydon Oleksa out in front who rushed for 135 yards and one score on only ten carries. Cole McGinnis was another key player, picking up 87 receiving yards and three TDs.
