Newton North put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 53-45 victory over the Milton Wildcats. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Wildcats are ranked 76th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Newton North's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Milton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Newton North Tigers challenge the Albany Cougars at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Milton, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Framingham at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
