While Sterling might've come up empty on Saturday, Memphis Dempcy wasn't going down without a fight. Dempcy pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. The performance marked the fewest hits he has had since back in April of 2024.

Dempcy and Sterling will host Eaton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since April of 2018, but a win here would be a good start.
