Soccer Game Preview: Rancho Cucamonga vs. Etiwanda

Rancho Cucamonga and Etiwanda are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2020, but likely not for long. The Rancho Cucamonga Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Etiwanda Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Rancho Cucamonga is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Upland on Monday. Rancho Cucamonga fell 2-0 to Upland. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Highlanders/Scots are ranked 42nd).

Meanwhile, Etiwanda kept a clean sheet against Damien on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Spartans.

Etiwanda is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4-1 record this season.
