Preview: Riverview Sharks vs. Chamberlain Storm
Riverview is 3-0 against Chamberlain since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Riverview Sharks will head out on the road to square off against the Chamberlain Storm at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Riverview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Wednesday.
In what's become a running theme this season, Riverview gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 63-33 win over East Bay. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Riverview has posted since December 13, 2023.
It was another big night for Kayaunna Dean, who scored 19 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Ellenwood, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Chamberlain unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. Their tough 59-37 loss to Gaither might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Chamberlain has suffered since December 8, 2023.
Riverview now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Chamberlain, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
Everything came up roses for Riverview against Chamberlain when the teams last played back in December of 2020 as the team secured a 53-26 victory. Will Riverview repeat their success, or does Chamberlain have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
