Baseball Recap: Veterans Memorial Takes a Loss

Veterans Memorial fell victim to San Benito and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Greyhounds by a score of 1-0. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Greyhounds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2019.

Veterans Memorial has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for San Benito, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-10.

Veterans Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-5 defeat against Harlingen South on the 5th. As for San Benito, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 loss against Harlingen on the 8th.
