Soccer Recap: Weld Central Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Weld Central was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of the Liberty Common Eagles by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Weld Central of the 4-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Kayla Branch, who's now up to eight this season.

Weld Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Liberty Common, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6-1 record this season.

Weld Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty Common, they have already played their next matchup, a 6-0 defeat against Denver Christian on the 3rd.
