Softball Game Preview: Agricultural Science Cyclones vs. Solorio Sun Warriors

For the second straight game, Agricultural Science will face off against Solorio. Agricultural Science is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Solorio at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Agricultural Science is headed out to face Solorio after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Agricultural Science skirted past Solorio 22-21. The Cyclones haven't had any issues with the Sun Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Destiny Bautista and Ariana Alcantar did most of the damage at the plate: Bautista got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs, while Alcantar scored three runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Bautista has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Qyanna Pinckney, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Agricultural Science always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .857. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .586 or higher in four consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Agricultural Science came out on top in a nail-biter against Solorio in their previous matchup on Monday, sneaking past 22-21. The rematch might be a little tougher for Agricultural Science since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
