Volleyball Recap: ROWVA/Williamsfield Makes It Ten in a Row on the Road

It was a proper cat-fight when ROWVA/Williamsfield challenged Cuba/Spoon River Valley on Wednesday. The Cougars came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats, sneaking past 2-1. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day ROWVA/Williamsfield got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 17-25, 25-21.

ROWVA/Williamsfield was led to victory by Maddi McGarry and Ella Rigg. McGarry had six digs and two aces, while Rigg had seven digs and one assist. Those two aces gave McGarry a new career-high.

ROWVA/Williamsfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Monmouth United on the 28th. As for Cuba/Spoon River Valley, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Farmington on the 1st.
