Basketball Recap: Cascade's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cascade can now relate to. They lost 74-54 to the Speedway Sparkplugs on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cadets have suffered since January 11th.

Cascade lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brady Trebley, who shot 58% from the field en route to 16 points and five boards. He is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Sanders, who went 7-for-12 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

With the loss, Cascade broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points over those games. As for Speedway, with the win, they broke their 11-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-19.

Cascade does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Speedway, they have already played their next contest, a 70-40 defeat against Northview on the 8th.
