Basketball Recap: Aquinas Takes a Loss

If Aquinas was feeling good fresh off their 53-32 takedown of Centennial last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Aquinas Monarchs lost 58-35 to the Freeman Falcons on Thursday. The Monarchs were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in March of 2015.

When it comes to explaining why Aquinas lost, don't look at Bryant Stouffer. Despite the final result, he posted 17 points and seven rebounds. Stouffer's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

The defeat snapped Aquinas' winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-10 record. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for Freeman, they pushed their record up to 23-1 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Aquinas nor Freeman have any future games scheduled.
