Basketball Recap: Grove Christian School Falcons vs. Grace Christian School Kings
The Grove Christian School Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 46-24 walloping at the hands of Grace Christian School. Grove Christian School was down 42-21 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sidney Fisher, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and three steals. Fisher hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Emily Hopkins, who scored six points along with two steals.
Grove Christian School now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Grace Christian School, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-9 record this season.
Grove Christian School will head out on the road to square off against the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Amelia Academy is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Grace Christian School, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
