            Volleyball Recap: South Charleston Black Eagles vs. Wayne Pioneers        
        
		
        
        
            South Charleston posted their closest  victory since October 22, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Wayne Pioneers  2-1. This was payback for the Black Eagles, who suffered  a  2-1  loss the last time these two teams met.
 The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was South Charleston who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 24-26,  15-11.
 South Charleston was led to victory by  Brianna Anderson and  Bella Anderson.  Brianna  had seven  digs and five  kills, while  Bella  had eight  digs and two  aces.
South Charleston now  has a winning record of 7-6. As for Wayne,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 1-5.
 Coincidentally, South Charleston and Wayne will both be playing Winfield the next time they take the court. The Black Eagles will  host the Generals at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday, while the Pioneers will play them later in the day, at 8:00  p.m.
