Brookstone came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Calvary Christian Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on September 4th.

Brookstone took Calvary Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-16, 25-16, 18-25, 15-11.

Carsyn Galligan paced Brookstone's offense, picking up 18 kills. Galligan got some help from Evangeline Gutierrez and her 31 assists. Galligan also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Meg Mcpherson, each putting up four.

When it comes to explaining why Calvary Christian lost, don't look at Josie Blake. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and four aces. With that strong performance, Blake is now averaging an impressive 2 aces per game.

Brookstone's win bumped their record up to 23-6. As for Calvary Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-4.

Coincidentally, Brookstone and Calvary Christian will both be playing Glenwood the next time they take the court. The Knights will head out to face the Gators at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
