Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Columbus). Their defense stepped up to hand the Lincoln North Star Navigators a 5-0 shutout on Friday. Columbus haven't had any issues with Lincoln North Star recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Columbus hit Lincoln North Star with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Charli Preister (2), Abby Haynes (2), and Callen Heule.

Columbus pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four contests. As for Lincoln North Star, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
