Softball Recap: Bound Brook Takes a Loss

Bound Brook came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-3 to the Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers.

Bound Brook saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rachael Gurczeski, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bound Brook has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season. As for Bridgewater-Raritan, their record is now 11-13.

Looking ahead, Bound Brook will square off against Middlesex at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bridgewater-Raritan, they will welcome Westfield on Saturday. The Blue Devils have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.47 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
