Basketball Game Preview: Holston Cavaliers vs. Rye Cove Eagles

The Holston Cavaliers will head out to challenge the Rye Cove Eagles at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, Holston was fully in charge, breezing past Honaker 55-23. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cavaliers.

Meanwhile, Rye Cove won against Thomas Walker last Friday with 59 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Rye Cove managed a 59-55 win over Lee.

Rye Cove's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Holston, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.

Holston was able to grind out a solid victory over Rye Cove in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 60-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Holston since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
