Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (62), Elyria Christian still had to take the loss.

Elyria Christian moved to 16-5-1 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.9 points over those games. As for Cunningham, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 24-0.

Elyria Christian and Cunningham are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Elyria Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dighton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Elyria Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Cunningham, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Axtell at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.
