Volleyball Recap: Vanguard Academy Comes Up Short

The Vanguard Academy Knights lost 3-0 to the Freedom Prep Academy Eagles on Tuesday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Vanguard Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Freedom Prep Academy's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-20.

Vanguard Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Freedom Prep Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Vanguard Academy and Freedom Prep Academy will both be playing Wasatch Academy the next time they take the court. Freedom Prep Academy will head out to face Wasatch Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Vanguard Academy will host them at 7:00 p.m. on April 3.
