Soccer Game Preview: Hialeah-Miami Lakes vs. Jackson

Hialeah-Miami Lakes and Jackson are an even 4-4-2 against one another since October of 2016, but likely not for long. The Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans will venture away from home to take on the Jackson Generals at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Thursday, Hialeah-Miami Lakes came up short against Sports Leadership & Management and fell 4-2.

Meanwhile, Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Booker T. Washington, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 166th).

Jackson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Hialeah-Miami Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4-1.

Everything went Hialeah-Miami Lakes' way against Jackson in their previous meeting back in November, as Hialeah-Miami Lakes made off with an 8-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hialeah-Miami Lakes since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
