Basketball Recap: St. Cloud Skates Past Poinciana with Ease

There's no place like home for St. Cloud, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They breezed by the Poinciana Eagles to the tune of 60-23 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Cloud to victory, but perhaps none more so than Syani Berrios, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave Berrios a new career-high in blocks (four). Another player making a difference was Arianna Viera, who went 11 for 23 on her way to 27 points in addition to six assists and three steals.

St. Cloud was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

St. Cloud's record now sits at 12-6. As for Poinciana, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

St. Cloud didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-29 win against Tohopekaliga on the 22nd. As for Poinciana, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 44-43 victory against Osceola on the 22nd.
