Baseball Game Preview: Pasco Bulldogs vs. Chiawana Riverhawks

Pasco is 0-10 against Chiawana since April of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Riverhawks at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Pasco fell just short of Hermiston by a score of 2-1. Pasco's defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Caleb Szendre was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Pasco's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 2-13 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, Chiawana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-1 to Kennewick.

Chiawana's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Pasco, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Pasco might still be hurting after the 14-0 defeat they got from Chiawana in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
