Preview: Chireno Owls vs. Broaddus Bulldogs
Chireno is 3-0 against Broaddus since November of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Both teams will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Chireno is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, it was a hard-fought match, but Chireno had to settle for a 45-42 loss against Joaquin.
Meanwhile, even though LaPoynor scored an imposing 55 points last Friday, Broaddus still came out on top. Broaddus had just enough and edged LaPoynor out 58-55. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Broaddus.
Chireno has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Broaddus, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Chireno against Broaddus in their previous matchup back in December of 2020 as the team secured a 67-32 win. With Chireno ahead 35-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
