Soccer Game Preview: Fairmont Prep vs. Samueli Academy

The Fairmont Prep Huskies will challenge the Samueli Academy Firewolves at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairmont Prep's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Meanwhile, Samueli Academy entered their tilt with Kennedy on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fighting Irish, sneaking past 2-1.

Isaac Barriga and Oswaldo Diaz scored both of Samueli Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Samueli Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those seven games. Fairmont Prep's draw gives them a new season record of 0-2-2.
